| Long Description | Escape From New York is a 1981 science fiction action film. Set in a dystopian future, Manhattan Island has been turned into a maximum-security prison. When the President's plane crash-lands in the city, ex-soldier and criminal Snake Plissken is recruited to rescue him. Snake navigates the dangerous streets of New York to find the President, but discovers a shocking conspiracy that puts the fate of the world at risk.
