| Long Description | The three Big Ones reduced the city to rubble every time they thought they were over. The thronging masses go about their business seemingly complacent and happily mixing with Artificial Persons (AP), no evidence of bias or prejudice. The stories they tell each other in the backrooms and bedrooms are far different, stories of mad robots run amok. There is an unofficial but very prevalent code of silence that pervades everything with people happily looking the other way without the desire to know what happens next. Technophiles believe in APs are the next elevation of consciousness, quite literally, a God in the Machine. Rather than take risks, politicians and corporate decision makers sit on their hands, afraid of doing something wrong, willing to face the disastrous consequences of inaction, just to never put themselves in harm's way. |
