Short Description | Luke Crane—designer of Burning Wheel, Mouse Guard, Torchbearer—presents a theory of design for roleplaying games. |
Long Description | In the past five years, while teaching game design at NYU, Mr Crane has developed a set of concepts for analyzing and discussing RPGs from the point of view of the designer, rather than the player or game master. His hope is to create a common language of design which will facilitate productive dialogue, as well as provide tools for new designers and allow educators to more easily convey important ideas about the medium. |
