| Short Description | A workshop with a provided kit of prepped pieces of fabric and tools to create a bustle for each attendee to take home. |
| Long Description | This workshop would be designed for each participant to be able to learn and make a bustle. The bustle to be made would be a one-size-fits-all, tie-on bustle with an open front. A premade kit to help with the lack of sewing machines would be provided to each attendee. Each bustle kit would include tools, a sewing needle, safe scissors, thread, measuring tape, marking chalk, safety pins, and pins. The bustle kit would also include the bustle materials prepped to save time and lack of a sewing machine. Examples would be provided for the steps that needed to be skipped, but there would still be hand stitch assembly for the bustle so each participant could have hands-on experience creating their own bustle. A full explanation of the missed steps would be demonstrated as best as possible without a sewing machine. |
