| Long Description | Great, memorable characters have strong characterization, development (which includes them becoming *worse* people, not better), clear motivations, interesting relationships with other characters, and effective dialogue. This workshop will analyze great characters from different media and give writers new ways to think about how they create their characters, develop them, and plan out their arcs throughout a story. These techniques are applicable to prose fiction, TV/film, comics, and games. Writers are encouraged to bring projects they’re working on, as the workshop includes hands-on exercises.
