| Long Description | Lancer is a grid-based and turn-based tactical mecha action RPG, with a rules-light narrative side based on FiTD/PbtA for the out-of-cockpit side of things. The game is tactics-forward and combat heavy, with expansive mech customization. This learn to play session will go over the basic combat rules and demonstrate them in a simple battle scenario using core book content only. Narrative (non-combat) play will be very light to meet the session time limit. Models, rules, and giant foam dice will be provided, and the battle will play out on a 12' x 4' map with 1/144 (~4") models. Standing and walking around the map for most of the session will be required, chairs may not be available. |
