| Short Description | A king is dead and his heir deposed. Her retinue must retrieve the Monarch’s Mantle. With it, she can prove her legitimacy. Fail, and she loses her throne. Plan well and be victorious by dawn. |
| Long Description | The King's death was not ENTIRELY unexpected, considering his long illness, but the coup by his once trusted advisor should probably have been seen coming. His daughter had to flee the castle with a few trusted friends and retainers. You must infiltrate the castle to retrieve the Monarch's Mantle, an item of great magical and cultural importance. With it, the True Queen can prove her legitimacy. Tonight, the lack of moon and heavy fog will provide the ideal amount of cover to make your attempt, but you'll only get one chance. If you fail, the Mantle will surely be hidden where it will never be found. If you're caught, it's the gallows. This game is a heist. You'll need to hatch a plan, infiltrate the tower and escape with the item before dawn. You'll have time to plan, access to equipment, and flashbacks to keep the pace moving. 8th level, characters provided. 2014 rules. |
