| Long Description | Join spiritual director, doctoral student, and Dungeon Master Pastor Rory Philstrom for an overview of the practice of spiritual direction and a discussion of how the imaginative play of TTRPGs can create a secure vessel to meet existential themes, pathos, and mystery. Through spiritual direction, play becomes a process for discovery and a safe space for personal exploration. TTRPG play holds the potential to be liberating and illuminating, but what we often call play is not necessarily so. Learn about the difference between the kind of play that serves as a superficial release valve and the kind that can be a revolutionary, transformational, and liberating act. End the session by participating in an interactive spiritual mapping exercise. |
