| Short Description | In this hands-on class, participants will learn how to create a 5" x 7" patchwork landscape out of fabric and foam board. |
| Long Description | Based on the traditional Japanese art of kinusaiga, this modified version will see students carve one of the provided landscape designs into a piece of foam board, then wrap the carved sections in small pieces of fabric to achieve a quilted effect. No prior experience is required; however, this class will involve sharp tools and detailed handwork, so some dexterity and knowledge of tool safety is recommended. All materials will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring: -your preferred fabric/embroidery scissors -your preferred hobby knife -fabric scraps (any size) to use and/or share -vision aids Please feel free to email me if you have any questions! |
