| Long Description | Oligopoly simulates the interwoven relationship between the public and private sector in the world of business. As a business leader, your goal is to carve a niche within the complex global economy -- and profit from trade with other businesses and cities. As a city leader, your goal is to work with other players to advance your city's interests -- and perhaps even annex your frenemies. Oligopoly is a semi-cooperative, engine-building, economic megagame that thrusts 6-40 players into the dynamic role of civic cooperation. Engine building elements resemble Furnace and Race for the Galaxy, but at a large scale with organized chaos similar to Pit and NSDM (The National Security Decision Making Game). |
