| Long Description | Queer folks have always existed, but often their stories go untold and their histories lost. A remarkable exception is the historical gender-defying community that thrived in 18th century London. Drag shows and christening ceremonies were performed at coffee houses during this time, and eventually constables got word of these festivities which led to well-documented trials of community members. Designed by Jo Kelly and Cole Wehrle, Molly House from Wehrlegig Games aims to celebrate and explore this moment of queer joy in the face of oppression. In this strategy game about parties, players throw festivities and evade pursuing constables, featuring thrilling roll-and-move action, push your luck hand management, and semi-cooperative mechanics. Join developer Drew Wehrle for a teach-and-play session of Molly House to experience a little-known queer history come to life. |
