| Long Description | Tzolk’in: The Mayan Calendar is a worker placement game with a unique system of risk and reward, based on interlocking and rotating gears, representing the cycle of the Mayan calendar. Each turn you must either place workers on gears or remove them. Each round, the cycle will advance and the gears will move. Removing workers will collect resources, build constructions, develop technology, or appease the gods. The longer your workers stay on the gears, the more productive they can become when you remove them, but leave them too long and they might receive nothing at all! Tzolk’in involves a balance between actions, resources, and timing. The player who scores the most points when the Mayan Calendar reaches the end of its cycle (four food days, at most 26 rounds) is the winner! *This game will be taught by a member of our CGE demo team.* |
