| Long Description | It’s 1813. You are amateur folklorists working as agents of the Crown. Across Britain, the folk ballads of the common people are coming to life. Kirkcudbright is playing out a tragic song about a shape-changing seal-man who has a child with a human woman, but is doomed to be slain by the man she eventually marries. Enchanted victims take on the roles of characters in “The Great Selkie”, forced to act out the ballad’s unhappy events. Imagery and danger from the song manifest supernaturally. Can you save the people of Kirkcudbright? |
