| Long Description | Lancer is a grid-based and turn-based tactical mecha action RPG, with a rules-light narrative side based on FiTD/PbtA for the out-of-cockpit side of things. The game is tactics-forward and combat heavy, with expansive mech customization. This learn to play session will go over the basic combat rules and demonstrate them in a simple battle scenario using core book content only. Narrative play will be briefly covered for completeness, but this event does not connect to any game storyline or characters. Models, rules, and giant foam dice will be provided, and the battle will play out on a 12 foot map with 1/144 (~4") models. Standing and walking around the map for most of the session will be required, chairs may not be available. |
