Short DescriptionThe Momoyama and Edo periods were a time of great chaos, interest, and cultural impact in a way we still see echoed today. High drama, the arts, and more will be discussed.
Long DescriptionThe era of the Great Warring States laid the foundation for so much art, culture, and excitement that played out in the Edo period that we have no hope of covering all the vast and wonderful tales possible. Instead, in this lecture, we will discuss the more exciting aspects of the Momoyama period in terms of art and culture and how that came forward to play out as high drama in the Edo period in locations such as the legendary Yoshiwara district. We will discuss in this panel many aspects of history, which include adult topics such as but not limited to acts of war, murder, human sexuality, and more in relation to various significant historical events.
