Short DescriptionThis event will present an online game about the Sustainable Development Goals. It will demonstrate the game, highlight gaps for development, and introduce players to key global competencies.
Long DescriptionThis session will present an example of how games can help achieve learning goals related to global competencies and an understanding of the intersection of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals with players’ daily lives. The event will achieve the following goals. First, it will demonstrate one approach to gamified learning about global competencies and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Second, it will share reflections on how such game experiences can be improved with the goal of inspiring future developers. Finally, it will provide short experience of the gamified learning with the goal of improving attendees own critical knowledge about the Sustainable Development Goals and how they related to their daily lives.
