Short DescriptionEntrepreneurship fundamentals, concepts, and an ikigai exercise for creators building projects in the gaming community.
Long DescriptionThis workshop introduces core entrepreneurship fundamentals for creators working in and around the gaming community. Rather than focusing on game design or publishing tactics, this session examines practical startup principles that apply to creative projects of all kinds. Attendees will explore how to evaluate ideas, avoid common early-stage traps, and align effort with realistic constraints such as time, energy, and resources. The workshop also includes a structured ikigai exercise to help participants clarify what kind of project is worth pursuing now, and why it matters to them. Leave with a clear sense of direction, a framework for decision-making, and practical insight into building something sustainable without experiencing burnout. Led by Mark Lowe, Program Chair of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Ivy Tech Community College
